Los Angeles, California: Three flights and approximately 8,500 miles later, we are officially back in the states! Our first stop: LA, to spend a few days with the lovely Natasha Kalimada. And what was our very first request upon landing at LAX? In ‘N Out Burger of course. Southeast Asia may make a mean curry, but they just can’t compete when it comes to a good old American cheeseburger.

Halong Bay, Vietnam: During our three-day cruise of Halong Bay with Ocean Tours, we made a bunch of new friends, did some kayaking, swam in the bay, and enjoyed some wonderful Vietnamese food - some of the best food we’ve had so far on our trip. We also got to sleep on the boat, which was fun (for one night). Here are some of our favorite shots!

Ko Samui, Thailand: After tiring of one beach island, we have moved on to the next; Ko Samui, off of Thailand’s east coast. We’re staying on a beach called Bo Phut, and when we wandered into the nearby Fisherman’s Village we discovered that they were having their weekly street festival! We got to try lots of delicious foods. Plus, Zach bought a hat.

Phuket, Thailand: Given that delicious food seems to be everywhere here, we couldn’t let another post go by without sharing some of the yummy cuisine we’ve been eating (and seeing). Bon appetit!
